More exciting new album news today this time from Electric Wizard. The doom/stoner metal masters have announced Time To Die as the title of their forthcoming studio album. Time To Die is their eighth full-length and will be the band's first album release since signing a worldwide deal with Spinefarm Records. Another piece of the album's puzzle, the cover artwork, is now revealed and you can feast your eyes on it right now!
Doom metallers 40 Watt Sun have confirmed that the writing is complete for their new album, and that this month they have begun recording it, the follow-up to 2011's The Inside Room. The recordings will take place in Wales throughout the spring and summer and will be, once again, self-produced by the band. 40 Watt Sun have played a handful of intimate shows over the past six months, showcasing tracks that will appear on the new album.
After years of silence, Vindsval, Blut Aus Nord founder and mastermind, is currently working on the successor to the legendary The Eye's first album, Supremacy, released back in 1997. The new opus should be released in the first quarter of 2014.
Black metallers Watain, who recently signed with Century Media Records, are currently in the studio recording new material. Three years after the start of the recording of Lawless Darkness, the band returned to Necromorbus Studio in Sweden and begun working on what is to become their 5th full-length album. The tentative release date is now set for August 2013. More details will be unveiled soon.
The French doom metal band Monolithe is on a roll and has recently announced the recording of a new album titled Monolithe IV this year. It is set to be recorded in mid-winter/spring with an expected release in late 2013. The opus will be the last of the band's saga which started with the release of Monolithe I in 2003.
