Swedish power metallers HammerFall have revealed a new song from their upcoming album, Built To Last, called "The Sacred Vow", along with a lyric video. Now, you can warm up your neck before going to the shows they are doing next year. The record hits stores worldwide this November 4th via Napalm Records.
Swedish metal veterans In Flames have revealed some new info about their upcoming album, along with a brand new track. The 12th album will be called Battles and is due to be released on November 11th via Nuclear Blast Records and Eleven Seven Music. The new song, which is available to be listened to in the YouTube player below, is called "The End". Enjoy the new track and feast your eyes on the artwork.
The legendary Swedish progressive act Opeth are joining one of the biggest labels in the metal genre, Nuclear Blast Entertainment. We now also know that their successor to Pale Communion will be called Sorceress, and will be released at the end of the year. The group is currently in the studio with Tom Dalgety putting the finishing touches on the record. Good news then!
Earlier, we learnt that Insomnium's next album Winter's Gate will be released in a very special package, featuring a book. We also learnt that the album will consist of an epic 40-minute long track. Last year, they revealed a song from their upcoming album Metsutan - Songs Of The Void called "Sakura Omen", and now it is time to reveal another song and lyric video. The song is called "Strike!", and will be the second track on the album.
Finnish monster rockers Lordi have announced that they have "slammed into the studio with producer Nino Laurenne to record some killer new tunes", possibly for an upcoming album. It has been quiet in the camp of German industrial metallers Rammstein, apart from a lawsuit, but now they have announced two shows in Germany on July 8th and 9th, at the Waldbühne in Berlin. These shows will be their only solo shows in Germany in 2016. Tickets go on sale on April 26th here.

Norwegian progressive black metal band Enslaved have announced that they are going to embark on an European tour to celebrate their 25th anniversary. Australian extreme prog metallers Ne Obliviscaris will be joining this tour as a direct support to Enslaved. The tour is kicking off in the last months of 2016, and so far 16 shows are announced. Last week, Finnish melodic metallers Insomnium hinted that they were hitting the studio, possibly to start the recording for a new album. Insomnium can now reveal that they are on their last day of recording drums in SF Sound studio. So far, they haven't given the fans any specific details about what they are recording exactly, but it seems like we have to brace ourselves for some cold, shivering tunes.
