Crises - Upcoming Album Update

Crises has posted some news of their upcoming album:

The title of our new upcoming album will be "Coral Dreams". Musically it's much closer to our old progressive days than it's predecessor "Summerworks". Not only because of our singer Domink Eckert - which gives Crises his voice since 2006 - the songs are once again more melodic and a bit more complex.

The rap parts which many fans weren't to happy with have finally become a thing of the past. Moreover we took songs from our progressive past like "Choices", "The Blame" or "End Of A Rainbow" back into our regular set. Some of them will be released as bonus tracks.

Also the new CD will have a few unreleased songs from our days with Douglas Engelbrecht (2002-2004) like "Strange", "Fighting With Myself" or "Cubical". Some songs from our "Summerworks" album have been completely rewritten and have new titles, like "Stormy Weather" and "When You Were Mine" (formally known as "Everything" and "Footprints").

The playlist is as it follows:
01. The Chase
02. Faker
03. Coral Dreams
04. All Against Me
05. Flesh & Bone
06. When You Were Mine
07. The Blame Remake
08. Fighting With Myself
09. Strange
10. Cubical
11. Gone With The Wind

Music samples of the new album can be found here

Dismember - Will Play In Israel

Long-running Swedish death metallers Dismember have issued a statement dismissing reports that they are cancelling their previously announced August 29 appearance at Barby Club in Tel Aviv, Israel due to the curent unrest in the Middle East. The statement reads as follows:

"Hereby Dismember states that we are not cancelling the show at the Barbie club in Israel on the 29th of August!!! We have no idea who wants to destroy for us by posting untrue statements on behalf of the band. We are doing the show as planned to promote the band in a territory we have waited so long to play shows in. Be sure that we will not let the Israeli die-hard metal fans down!!!"

Dismember's latest album, "The God That Never Was", was released in February via Regain Records. The follow-up to 2004's "Where Ironcrosses Grow" was once again produced by drummer Fred Estby at Sami Studio in Stockholm. The group's current lineup is completed by Matti Kärki (vocals), David Blomqvist (guitar), Martin Persson (guitar) and newcomer Tobias Christiansson on bass.

Danzig - To Release "Lost Tracks Of Danzig" And Other News

Danzig recently shot a video for the song "Crawl across Your Killing Floor" outside of Los Angeles. The track will be included on the upcoming "Lost Tracks of Danzig" collection, a two-CD set of previously unreleased Danzig tracks spaning the band's entire career; from the 1988 self-titled debut to the present. A November release is expected.

As previously reported, Glenn Danzig's long-awaited "Black Aria II" CD, the follow-up to the original "Black Aria" (1993), will be available in stores on September 19, 2006. The album, the material for which has apparently been written for five years, is a classical, operatic piece based on Lilith, the mythological first wife of Adam, according to Danzig. "It's different from the first record but similar in a lot of ways," he said.

Danzig, the band, will be embarking on its first tour of Australia since 1993 in early September. Glenn is also in the process of shooting his first feature film, "Gerouge", which he has written and will direct. "Gerouge" is based on one of the comic book titles distributed by his Verotik publishing company, and concerns turn-of-the-century New Orleans voodoo.

"A unique work, exhaustively and respectfully assembled in remembrance of the legendary founder of death metal and viking metal. For an entire year Boss collected and went through so much material that it took months until the project truly began to take shape. Boss used as much of Quorthon's original material as possible ? including his layouts, text and notes taken from the posted and unreleased material he left. The artwork: Painted by Kristian Wåhlin who closely followed Quorthon's concept for a new Bathory album cover ? even if the new album itself was barely outlined at the time. Kristian began working on the new cover in late spring 2004, only weeks before Quorthon unexpectedly passed away. The painting Kristian gave us meant so much to Boss that he decided to use it for the memorial shirts and, of course, as the box sets cover art. The CDs: Boss personally selected the songs for the three CDs, which feature four of the finest hours of Bathory and the great Quorthon. When choosing the tracks, Boss kept in mind Quorthon's favourites, so you can be sure it is a compilation first of Quorthon's favourites, and of Boss ? selected from a very strong and diverse catalogue. In addition, you will hear Bathoryand Quorthon recordings you probably didnt even know existed. All music was remastered especially for the box set. The book - 176 pages. Only in the memory box set. Text written by Quorthon personally appears in italics. Besides lyrics, the book features Bathory's history, discography, background on the first recordings ? with titles, years, studios, covers ? and even a couple of photographs. Nearly all of this is from Quorthon's and Boss' own private archives. By popular demand, the DVD contains the first official commercial release of the legendary 11-minute video for 'One Rode To Asa Bay', as well as the MTV interview Quorthon did in London for the release of 'Hammerheart'. The poster: Quorthon's fire breathing."

Lacuna Coil - New Songtitles Revealed

According to a posting at EmptySpiral.net, LACUNA COIL presented six songs from their forthcoming album, "Karmacode", to members of the world music press on Sunday (Oct. 23) at the Galaxy Studios in Mol, Belgium. The band are currently working in the studio with Grammy award-winning mastering engineer Darcy Proper, whose previous works include PORCUPINE TREE's "Deadwing".

The highly anticipated follow-up to 2002's "Comalies", "Karmacode" was co-produced once again by Waldemar Sorychta was mixed by Ronald Prent (RAMMSTEIN, H.I.M., IRON MAIDEN). Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "What I See", "Fragile", "In Visible Light", "Fragments of Faith", "Within Me" and "Our Truth".

With regards to the new album's title, male vocalist Andrea Ferro had previously said, "When it came to coming up with an album title I wanted to combine one 'old' word that is spiritually connected with another that offers a link to our more 'modern' times. If there were an actual translation of 'karmacode,' it would be something like 'spiritual DNA and the message behind it'. The title attempts to balance our modern, overwhelming, self-centered, fast-paced lifestyles and the desire we all have to live a more spiritual, more compassionate and more fulfilling life."

"Karmacode" is tentatively scheduled for release in March 2006 via Century Media Records.

Vanishing Point - Bassist Leaves The Band

Message from Joe Del Mastro:

Hi Everyone.

I am writing to let you all know that I am leaving Vanishing Point. My reasons are personal and it was a decision that I needed to make. Lately I've noticed my life going in a different direction. I felt a lack of passion and drive that I once felt for the band. Vanishing Point needs a member who shares the same vision and future goals. I felt it was the best thing to do for myself but more importantly for the future of Vanishing
Point. It was one of the biggest and hardest decisions that I've ever had to make.

Vanishing Point has been one of the best experiences of my life. It was a childhood dream of mine to be in a band just like Vanishing Point. I have the utmost respect for Tommy, Jack, Silvio and Chris and I wish them all the best for the future. I thank you all for the great times and the opportunity to create and play great music with you. You are friends for life.

I'd like to thank all the fans and people I've met through the band. A special thanks to all my friends and family for their support. A big thanks to everyone who has helped me throughout this wonderful journey.

Cheers, Joe Del Mastro

Ivory Tower - To Release A New Album

Ivory Tower - It (2005?)

"IT" is an epic-concept album with 17 tracks/spoken parts and 66 minutes music.

The Story:
This story is about a man. One of many. Split in his personality.
Influencing and missing affection within young years supported the building up of anger, hate and maliciousness.
The own indifference and lacking self-responsibility also offered the breeding ground for the evil. Without noticing it his steady behaviour became influenced by arrogance, aggression and egoism.
Friends and acquaintances turn away and in the end his beloved girlfriend leaves him, too. Caught in this cage of evil he slowly becomes aware of his lifetime.
And so he attempts to change himself and make up for the mistakes he´s made. But his enemy is bigger than he thought.
Because the dark side in us cannot be so simply changed... and the dark side has a name..............
