| The music of her soloalbum (My Winter Storm) was not good, to much of studio musician sound. She should´nt have any problem finding a real band playing well. |

| I thoroughly enjoyed My Winter Storm... It was different enough from other artists in the genre, and wasn't a move towards a more trendy sound like we all feared it would be. It also worked damned well live, so I for one am looking forward to the next album! |

| Nightwish is just cheesy power metal with lots of keyboards and sub-par guitar playing that was fun a long time ago (before Hietala - just a weaker version of Russell Allen to be honest - came in, that is) but has become more and more pretentious and at the same time blander and blander. Tarja's music is actually unconventional and resembles real gothic music more than Nightwish's ever has. I don't agree that Holopainen is that talented at all (or if he is, he doesn't show it anymore, he's sold his soul to The Man - he should have fired himself for caring more about money and parties than music), he's overrated as fuck. He and his mediocre current band and music are fanboyed FAR too much, other bands do pretty much the same style much better and partly have done so for years, and long before Nightwish. It's Tarja who actually thinks out of the box - also out of the metal box. |
