Earth is pleased to announce the arrival of a new album. Coming February 2011 from Southern Lord Records, we welcome Angels Of Darkness, Demons Of Light I. Produced and recorded at Avast Studios in Seattle,Washington by Stuart Hallerman (notable engineer behind Earth 2), this new album features the following line-up:

Adrienne Davies - trap kit and percussives
Dylan Carlson - electric guitar and devices
Lori Goldston - cello and devices
Karl Blau - electric bass guitar

I heard about this, and that album cover is certainly unusual for the USA band Earth, and I'll venture to say unusual generally speaking.

That being said, it is totally fucking awesome artwork, I love it. I'd almost buy the album by artwork alone. I've liked their music since (I think) Lucas showed me [/i]The Bees Made Honey In The Lion's Skull[/i], but I'm not sure if I like them enough to buy an album. Maybe I'll change my mind and try harder to get into them.

The artwork fucking sucks. There, I said it. Compared to the glorious awesomeness of the artwork of "The Bees..." (which I simply HAD to buy again in full vinyl glory), this is a massive disappointment.

I hope it doesn't reflect on the music, but I'm sure the dudes from Earth know what they're doing.

Definitely excited.

They went on sale 27 november!!!! 10:00 !!! Roadburn posted the date on their website!



It would be awesome if you can make it, but being realistic... it seems impossible, you can still check out in ticketmaster just in case...
