Morten Gade Sørensen (Pyramaze, Wuthering Heights, Lance King, ex-Aurora) becomes the new drummer in Danish progressive/power metal outfit Anubis Gate, after the band has parted ways with Morten Sørensen.
The band comments: "After careful consideration and 5 albums behind the drums, Morten Sørensen felt it was time to get off the bandwagon to pursue other musical interests. We would like to say that this is a peaceful parting of the ways and that we are still good friends. We are of course sad to see Morten Sørensen go, but also excited to have another one of Denmark's very finest drummers to join the band. It is with great pleasure that we can announce his replacement Morten Gade Sørensen, known for his excellent drumming in bands such as Pyramaze, Wuthering Heights and Lance King.
Morten Gade Sørensen added: "I've been following Anubis Gate since their beginning and being a big fan of their universe it's an honor for me to be asked to join the group. I'm looking forward to start working on the new material."

They both are Morten Sørensen?
I suppose they replaced their old drummer with an updated clone or something...
It's really weird reading the post on their website, it's like they're talking about the same person xD |

Haha! Morten is a great drummer so I'm sure he'll be a good replacement for Morten and his good drumming.
I'm reminded to listen to more Pyramaze now. |
