After an appetizing teaser, the time has come for a full extract of music to be revealed from the new Ayreon double album The Theory Of Everything. With not long to go till the album is released on October 28th via Inside Out Music, you can now hear a 4-minute extract from the 20-plus minute track "Phase 1: Singularity". At least it is something. Enjoy!

Arjen had this to say about it: "This is an extract from the 20-plus minute track, 'Phase 1: Singularity.' It combines The Theory Of Everything parts 1 and 2. It features vocals by Michael Mills as the Father and Cristina Scabbia as the Mother. The piano was played by Rick Wakeman. Turn on YouTube captions to see the lyrics. Hope you'll enjoy it!"

Find more details about the album over here.

I won't check this out or the leaked version of the album. Waiting for the record to come out.

Same as me. Arjen deserves support, and playing this album at 192kbps would be a murder

I really really really like this song, especially the vocal melodies we hear from Cristina. The piano and keyboards add a nice touch, as well.

Reminds me a lot of The Human Equation... and yeah, that's a good thing.

Sounds very promising! I can't wait to get my Signed copy of the album

you might be shocked to know that a great portion of my collection is at 198 kbps or less and tbh, I do not feel much difference between 320k and 198k. I mean, some albums at 320k have terrible sound quality and some at 120k are good.

It depends on the quality of the rip itself as well, it's not always just a matter of bit rate.

The female vocals are obviously from some talentless hack put in for sex appeal or something but other than that it sounds pretty okay.

Really? The female vocals are my favorite melodies in the song!

I was hoping for that, but FW's new album sounds too much like their old albums (which I don't really enjoy). I thought they would continue on the Disconnected-FWX- music direction, but nope
Enjoyed only "Firefly" and "I Am", the others are kinda average. And yes, I bought the album, and I gave it about 5-6 spins. Who knows, maybe someday my mood will be exactly for their new album, and I'll finally enjoy it in its entirety

For CD reasons, the tracks will be 42, but Arjen made sure that this won't be noticeable.

Well, It is noticeable. I want to order the CD, but I still concert it to mp3 when i receive it, so I don't want it to be in 42 tracks as it is in leaked version. Well, then I guess I will wait a bit longer. Maybe there will be some bonus version.

It's possible to rip multiple tracks into a single track. Explore the tools that you use.

Is this really necessary guys? Yes, some could say that DT's latest albums have not really been up to par, but is it really necessary to bring it up on every single prog metal album out there? If you don't like their work, isn't it best to keep your criticism to their albums, rather than mentioning it everywhere, as if you're attempting to start a flame war.

I'm not going to agree or disagree with you guys; I just wish we could keep the Dream Theater hate/criticism to the Dream Theater pages.

...On the other hand, this sounds like it will be a pure-on prog album, focusing a lot more on the synth/folk influences. My expectation is for a REALLY colourful release, which is exactly what I like in music.

Yeah I've found this pretty cool ^^

Love the keyboard work here, Rick Wakeman is a genius of course. Very nice track! I'll have to heck this album out soon!
