23:41 - 3rdWorld Tasty stuff. Dwelves even further away from any grindcore at all. [link]
23:33 - !J.O.O.E.! Still don't hear it at all. The debut had a lot of punk and heavy metal influence for me. That Chinese band sound like straight up black metal with some melodic elements.
23:30 - Apothecary And yeah, I guess it isn't all that far off from their earlier material, when I think of the Meads in my head now though I typically think of their more recent stuff, i.e. TMOJTJ and on
23:28 - Apothecary This is still probably the closest thing to the Meads I've heard (other than Sigh) [link]
23:27 - 3rdWorld Well, Meads themselves are hard to pinpoint. They don't have much of a predominant folk instrumentation/viking element. So I did find the Holyarrow album kinda similar to Meads' debut.
23:27 - Apothecary I'm about midway through the second track, don't hear much Meads on it tbh. Then again, their sound isn't all that easy to replicate. Certainly not bad music though
23:23 - Marcel Hubregtse ...acoustic set. That's the direction you have to think in.
"Firefly" is the new video from American progressive metal pioneers Fates Warning. The clip was directed by David Solbjørg and Kjetil Kolbjørnsrud of Twitchyfilms and you can enjoy it now here. The song comes off Darkness In A Different Light, their first new studio album effort in almost a decade and InsideOut debut.
Darkness In A Different Light is still fresh as it only came out in October. Check out the other video released by the band for "I Am" here.
