Tuomas Holopainen's debut solo album The Life And Times Of Scrooge is released today in Europe so it seems perfect to unveil a new lyric video. This time, you can hear the track "The Last Sled". Since the album has now been released, tell us your impressions of the album as well, in case you already listened to it. The opus, of course, is inspired by the graphic novel The Life And Times Of Scrooge McDuck, written and illustrated by Don Rosa. Was it what you were expecting from the Nightwish mastermind?

Check out the tune "A Lifetime Of Adventure" still available here. April 14th (UK) and April 15th (North America) via Nuclear Blast Records are the other release dates.

The tracklist of the album:

01. Glasgow 1877
02. Into The West
03. Duel & Cloudscapes
04. Dreamtime
05. Cold Heart Of The Klondike
06. The Last Sled
07. Goodbye, Papa
08. To Be Rich
09. A Lifetime Of Adventure
10. Go Slowly Now, Sands Of Time
11. A Lifetime Of Adventure [alternative version] [bonus track]

"The great broad land way up yonder" (X2) line just cracked me the fuck up! LOL.

Though not metal, this sounds so beautiful, especially the female vox. Tuomas sure got his hands on a hell-ov-a wife.

It's a good album, nice mellow background music.

My girlfriend and my little niece might like this.

Christmas music.

Lovely nostalgic song, though the spoken parts were a little weird.

Absolutely, and those same lyrics being sung by the girl again afterwards make me want to cut my veins with a slice of cheese.

Nice sounding album. Sounds like a Christmas album.

Also feels like he's just saying it's inspired by Scrooge and Ducktales to get fans of the cartoon like me to pour my money into it.

Wow, really wasn't expecting much from this release but I'm really impressed. This is what symphonic releases should sound like! Can't wait to listen to the album and also hear what's in store for Nightwish

It's really not my style, but it is so very very beautiful.

Agreed. Hopefully she'll never get drafted in as a Nightwish singer: talk about a recipe for divorce.
