Redemption - Ray Alder Quits, Announce New Singer

In a recent exclusive interview for ProgPower USA, Redemption's leader Nick Van Dyk shared some interesting news concerning the band. It could be seen in more frequent Facebook updates that the American prog veterans are already working on new material, but it turns out that this time around the wait will be much shorter. However, the most important news is that Ray Alder is no longer the singer of Redemption and has been repaced by... Evergrey's vocalist Tom Englund!

In the video interview (starts at 7:15), Van Dyk talks about recent developments. The new album, tentatively titled Long Night's Journey Into Day is planned for a release in 2018, the band will also return to the ProgPower USA festival. The link above also contains a snippet of a new song with Tom Englund.

Aries Rising
I panicked for a second, thought the title read that Ray Alder was leaving Fates Warning. Really looking forward to see what Tom brings to Redemption, always been a fan of his vocals.

This could be a good thing. But then again I love Englund

It's one of those vocalist changes that only happens once in a lifetime. Looking forward to hear the next album!

I was worried too, reading that Ray left, but Englund is a great vocalist, it can all work out fine.

I thought the two primary purposes for the internet were cat memes and overreactions.
