Plague Of Stars - Guitarist Quits

Guitarist Nick Malbraaten has decided to quit the gothic doom metallers Plague Of Stars to focus on his family and other endeavors besides music. Furthermore, the band is preparing to record their second album.

The band explained via Facebook: "Hello friends, family and fans, we are sad to report that after a year with Plague Of Stars, guitarist Nick Malbraaten has decided his time with us has ended. Nick came on in the summer of 2017 and he brought a new energy to the band and fulfilled our wish to have a second guitar player. He has been a tremendous addition to the live show and to the band as a whole since then.

"As family life often and should take the focus, Nick has decided his time is best spent with his son and other endeavors besides music at this time. It doesn't need to be said, but we are saying it anyway: we love the shit out of Nick and this nothing short of an amicable split. We truly wish him the best as a great person and a fantastic musician. Any band would be lucky to have him!

"As we gear up from recording our second album and begin planning future shows Nick thought now was the most appropriate time to step away from the band. His last show with Plague Of Stars with be December 14th at the Cabooze! Please come send Nick off with a jam-packed venue!

"This news, although sad, will not effect our future plans. Recording time is booked at 14:59 studios in Minneapolis, MN for early 2019 and we are currently scheduling shows. We are actively looking for a new guitarist OR new bassist as Tim Morton may step in the guitar role if we find the right bass player. For now, if you are interested and live in or near the Minneapolis area, feel free to message us. We will be writing and rehearsing a lot the next couple months as we prepare for 2019.

"We love and appreciate you all! Thanks for reading. - Will on behalf of Plague Of Stars."
