| Why did he have to die, I don't know how, but I know Metallica would be alot better today if it wouldn't have happened. Maybe they would still be playing Thrash! |
| Anyone knows where in Sweden this is? |

Anyone knows where in Sweden this is?
I know a Memorial Day in honor of Cliff Burton was held at The Gyllene Rasten venue (http://www.gyllenerasten.se), located in Ljungby, Dörarp, Sweden. And that is near the place of the accident/memorial stone...
BTW More photos can be viewed here. |

| Oh I thought it was in Norway where he died. I guess I was wrong. |
I'm just playing Orion to his honour. |

Rest in peace, and thank you |

| If I ever go to Sweden, I shall definitely visit that place. Thrash Metal would sound much different if he were still alive today. |

James Hetfield didn't pay for that, he didn't even know about it until it was finished. It was contributions from fans that paid the stone and it costed about $1250. |

i just dont care, he is a good bassist, but comon on guys its been 20 years its not like that you are related to him or somthing !!!! |
I should visit his memorial stone and pay my respects to him sometime in my life. Whenever I play 'Fade To Black', I always remember his work. Why was he taken from this world so soon? |
| Well grinder...i don't care you don't care. It really has nothing to do with being related and crap. That guys' ideas & work mean a hell of a lot to me and i don't give a rotten apple if it's been 20 or 200 hundred years. Those songs never die you know. |

Dude he was making music that people loved and still do. And when a great musician like Clifford dies it leaves a big hole in some peoples hearts. We can at least listen to Orion and some of us (like me) wish that would have lived in the 80's, right? |
| whatever !! but i think if he is atill alive, !! he will be just as normal as jason was ...its just the tragedy that makes ppl love him more,,,.. |
| i'm sure he would be a lot better than jason, cause newsted is good bassist but cliff was really great, you must see those videos when cliff is playing the bass, man he's GREAT, he's solos are awesome, play with a 4string bass all those great songs and making them sound great, not anyone; i love metallica, but i guess if cliff were alive it would be another song; Cliff Burton was a bass god; R.I.P Cliff Burton |

| Yea all I have to say is R.I.P Cliff , the greatest bassit that ever lived, the true Master Of Puppets. |
| This stone is really nice. I agree with those who said that this took a long time to be released and Metallica should have done it. |
