04:13 - deadone Down were originally a supergroup before they decided to make it a more permanent thing and they're a fine band. Demons and Wizards were good on their self titled one too.
03:50 - Doge of Venice Transatlantic are pretty good. Granted, they aren't metal. BUT WHATEVER.
03:01 - Maco I can't think of a good supergroup right now. :s
03:00 - no one supergroups usually imply that they will suck
02:46 - ScreamingSteelUS Supergroups do tend to be kind of bland, but I happen to love that Killer Be Killed album. That's why I'm so glad they've been touring and working on a second album. It's coming into its own as a band, no longer just a one-off.
02:36 - deadone Supergroups imply members from several famous bands getting together and often for a one-off. Off course some last a lot longer e.g. Down.
02:07 - ScreamingSteelUS I wouldn't say that Megadeth counts, because the thing that Daves Mustaine and Ellefson are known for is being IN Megadeth, even if Dave Sr. was previously in Metallica.
Greek melodic black metal band Rotting Christ has revealed that they will be entering the studio soon to record their next album. A statement from the band reads as follows:
"New songs composing process has almost been completed and the band is ready to enter the studio for the recording sessions of its upcoming album that will follow up the very successful latest band's album Theogonia.
Sakis will take care of the production again and as being the main composer too he declares that he had his most tripy and exhausted simultaneously experience on his career squeezing his mind drowing down ideas that will follow up the band's latest album Theogonia and the end of the process find him as well as the whole band totally convicted that they finally managed it.
We haven't more to say than proving it with the upcoming recordings and ofcourse with its release that roughly estimated to be released in January 2010."
