Ok, so there I was watching Slayer's Still Reigning DVD and I thought: "I saw them live twice already. I wonder who has seen them 10 times".

I'm just curious. Who is the ultimate concert geek? Who goes to every concert of their favourite band? How many times have you seen your favourite bands play? Or other bands?

I'm not a great example, I saw both Slayer and Metallica twice, that's my poor record. Actually, I saw a number of bands twice. Hopefully that will change over the years.

Concerts hmmm I had seen BIG bands like Iron Maiden , OZZY/BLS , Slade, Sweet, Europe 1 times, some latvian rock bands more how one , maybe 3 dunno I was 12-14

DVD I have no DVD but CD those wht i won I lsitening many times I dunno how much some 100 some 1000 realy dnno, some mp3 what i hve 1-3 same myspace somngs , its hard see and hear all

I have doubts but there's a possibility it's Metsatöll....they do play relatively often so I might've seen them for about 3 or 4 times....I've usually seen a band either twice or once....

For me it's definitely Moonspell, more than 10x (just 'cause they're from my country and play here often! lol) Other bands are 5xMetallica, 4xSlayer, 3xVader and several more... (not counting local bands).

Unfortunately, I've seen the following bands twice-

Job For a Cowboy
Sanctity

Other bands that were good live that I've seen twice-

Into Eternity
Unmerciful

I've seen Opeth two times and both where great. My saddest achievement is that I've seen Divine Heresy three times (yes, it was terrible all times)

they were always supporting really good bands (Dark Tranquillity, 3 Inches Of Blood) so I always had to sit through those assholes screaming at my face. Their pretty popular in the US which is pretty annoying because they always seem to tour

I've seen Primordial and Negura Bunget four times in 2008. Which makes Primordial the band I've seen most often with 6 performances. If things had went otherwise Negura could've tied, but a festival with them as headliners was canceled at the last minute and on their latest European tour the two dates which were scheduled in my area both just didn't seem to happen

I think I've seen Dream Theater live eleven times now...

^No, Marcel is. Seeing a band twenty five times is nothing to shake a stick at.

My record is nothing special. I'm tied between Bodom and Nightwish, both of whom I've seen twice. But Nightwish is soon to beat bodom, as I'm seeing them again in May...

Well I have seen Amon Amarth for 3 times till now and than a lot of band for 2 times (Opeth, Dimmu Borgir, Kataklysm,...)...and I'm sure that this year will bring some new shows of these and other bands...

Hey Mastodon are not bad! I was there (Mastodon, Slayer) and I liked Mastodon.

Wait. I wasn't there because when I saw Mastodon they played before Metallica.

Since 1984, I have seen Rush 11 times.
Second place form me is Metallica - 4 times (one of those was as an opening act for Ozzy in 1986). I haven't seen them though since they toured in support of the Black Album.

so which one was their best show? LOL

Hm. Seen Mercenary about 8 times now. All of which together make up for about three decent concerts because they were support in all but three times. And two of those were festival appearances. But Mercenary is easy if you live in Germany as they play here quite frequently.
Other than that I've seen Haggard five times. Also a german band, so easy.

You should ask which bands we'd love to see more often. For instance, I've never see Trail Of Tears. Been a fan of them for about six years now, and I never had the chance. Or, although I consider myself a huge Nevermore fan, I've only seen them four times. And only one true headliner show (with Mercenary as support ). Once as support for Disturbed and twice on festivals. But had they played here more often in the last years, I'd have attended every single show.

They played on the same day, before or after Mastodon, I can't remember. And they were surprised because the audience wasn't enjoying their music. Well, I wonder why?! It's awful.

Us poor people don't go to concerts, you should know this. D;

I have seen Kataklysm AT LEAST 6 or 7 times. In 2 different countries.

Arch Enemy 3 times. Amon Amarth 3 times. Machine Head 3 times.

Black Label Society 3 soon to be 4 times.

And as for duplicates..... There's WAY too MANY bands to name....
