Dawn is a recently-reformed Swedish black metal band with two full length albums, most notably Slaughtersun. Believe it or not, these guys were actually one of the first black metal bands I heard, but due to inactivity and the fact that their albums are almost impossible to find, I ended up forgetting about them. Their songs are fairly lengthy and sometimes they get repetitive, but the riffs are generally great. Dawn entered Studio Monolith last year to record their third album, which is supposedly coming out this Summer, but with all of the delays and difficulties that this band has had, it wouldn't surprise me if it never came out. Whenever it does get released, it'll be their first album with Tomas Asklund (Gorgoroth, Dark Funeral, Dissection) on drums. MySpace
