Bruce Dickison - Tears Of Dragon (very fond of, it meets what I need, would like to be recommended similar)
HammerFall - Glory to The Brave

Manowar - Heart of Steel (perfect music and vocal to the requirement)
Dragonland - Forever Walking Alone (its emotion is no doubt, the song just is fast but still acceptable same stuff)

I was thinking the same. I always considered Warnig to be slow. Almost funreal doom paced at times.

*facepalm* Right, dammit. Meh, I kinda got mixed up because he asked for "sad or struggling" emotion.

Warning is very mid tempo and slow, I would put Warning on my this desirable list as recommended. Only that the Warning vocal somewhat less "tough", more on like "whining" which is not that I want. Btw, can any doomster tell me what are lyric themes of Warning about ?


Well, I need "sad-struggling" songs that have a tough feeling in its music wholly, just simply described as mid-tempo with the such genre. Though betterly, if dont mind your time listening to the songs I mention for the seeking of recommendation, especially Tear of Dragon, or 2ndly, Heart Of Steel. "Diamonds and Rust" is actually a Joan Baez song written about Bob Dylan. Still a great tune.

Candlemass - At The Gallow's End

Listen to Deep Cold, by Omnium Gatherum. The ending of that song is some of the most emotional sounding metal I've ever heard.

I would definetely suggest Atlantean Kodex. Great epic heavy/doom metal. Rainbow is a no-brainer. Tarot has an amazing song called Iron Stars, even if the band is generally lackluster. (It should be their own track, though it might be a cover.) Heaven & Hell made a good album, Atom And Evil was especially enjoyable. Astral Doors is a great heavy band, check out Bastard Son or something.

On the little doomier side, I'd also recommend Solstice, Candlemass, the first few albums of DoomSword, Las Cruces, While Heaven Wept of course (The Furthest Shore is epic).

I think it's interesting you mention the same songs that I am inspired of when I write music (except from Dragonland). Sadly I haven't recorded anything yet, but I wish to make a whole album in that kind of music. Other songs I've been inspired of are
