Eluveitie - New Video Online

Swiss folk metallers Eluveitie have released a new video for the song "A Rose For Epona". You can watch it below. The video was produced by Polish company Grupa13, who had worked with the band on the clip for "Thousandfold" from the last album Everything Remains As It Never Was, but also worked with bands like Behemoth and Amon Amarth before.

"A Rose For Epona" comes off the band's upcoming album Helvetios, due out on February 10th, 2012 (Europe) and February 28th, 2012 (North America) through Nuclear Blast Records. More album details were previously reported here.

Blood Stain Child - Metropolice XD

Simply based off the same traditional folk tune.

My brother also noticed the similar melody in Within Temptation's Running up that Hill, which is at the same time a cover song of Kate Bush

A Rose for Link's horse?

No, a Rose for Epona. Epona is a Gallic goddess of horses and fertility.

Really??! Phulzzz....its way outta tr00lism!! Anyways, its a very decent song especially looking at the album. Pretty different theme but yeah could have been better in lyrical part. I found that pretty similar to the last output. Will definitely look forward.

This has a similar feel to Slania, which I'm liking. Also, if this is the slowest non-instrumental on the album, I'm completely set.

What's the male singer playing? It looks like an oversized ukelele.

Despite this being a rather pop-ish song, I do appreciate it and it'll probably be a good live song to perform for them.

I couldn't help but be a little negative here.

1. A little TOO poppy for a folk band.
2. The guitar riff is far too stock.
3. I feel i've already heard this song when i haven't. Meaning, it didn't leave an impression.

It wasn't too bad though, just a simple melody with some nice folk parts, and Anna did ok with the vocals.

I don't expect much from metal videoclips but seriously, if Anna acted instead of this girl it could have been a lot better.
