For anyone who doesn't know Lamb Of God is a (disputed) thrash act from Richmond Virgina. While being very technical, they also have a nice deep chugging feeling throughout their songs. Sometime this Summer they should be releasing their album Sacrement, which is being strictly kept under wraps. What are your thoughts on the band? Do you think the new album will be better then their earlier material? Who is your favorite member in the band and why?

Ok heard the latest album... and have to say it did nothing for me. I think it has a little more 'Metalcore' - or whatever core nowa days - which is a sound in music that I have a bit of a dislike for. But ohwell, still like the other ablums.

Anyway, there doing another long tour again! Gee seems they only got back from their last big tour now their going again. Sucks their touring with Trivium though, that might kill of some metalheads interest in going to the gigs.

Ive listened to the last album.... Its a bit different from the others, but god, I liked it so much..Pathetic, Requiem and Another Nail For Your Coffin are my favos .

But no way, this album is bot better than As The Palaces Burn. Its still my favo.

I'll come back three times
Once in the name of deceit
Twice for your malice
Three times when I take you away.

Reminds me of my ex. Funny...

Really, really brilliant band! At first I didn't find them all that exciting. It took a sweet time until I started to realize how bloody awesome so many aspects of their music are, the incredibly catchy riffs, the groove, the technical top-notch drumming and ofcourse the awesome vocals!

I don't get it why people call them Metalcore, they don't have poorly played cheap Gothenburg Metal riffs, pop-oriented keyboard melodies or choruses with horrible whining... umm... I mean clean singing (I want to point out that I'm not against clean vocals at all, it's just that Metalcore-vocalists usually have really, really, really poor singing abilities!).

Now tell me good folks what exactly is it in LoG's music that falls into the Metalcore-genre.

I find this band to be awesome live, but I recently listened to their albums and I really couldn't find anything interesting. Mostly it was really boring. On CD Lamb of God are average

This video made my day. Lamb of God recently performed on the Conan O'Brien show. Check it out here.

Randy's vocals suck at first, but they get better. Be sure to watch the whole thing because Conan says some funny stuff at the end.

I'm not sure if anyone brought this up yet, but I'm not entirely confident in posting Lamb of God as "Thrash". Then again, I have no idea how to classify them other than New Wave of American Heavy Metal.

Also, as far as the above Trivium post goes, as much as I'll get flamed for this, I really like the Crusade. It was a sick album. However by saying that I'm essentially putting my head in a guillotine for you guys to drop on me.

Lamb of God started off in the Metalcore/hardcore scene, and you can hear some elements of Metalcore in their music...mainly their older shit...(burn the priest days).....but i just consider them nowadays a neo thrash/groove metal band...also....not all metalcore is what you described above.....stop stereotyping pal before you make yourself look stupid

Saw that they played a song on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Not sure what the track was but it was off their new album which on disc didnt really take to very much compared to their other albums, but they were good.

Maybe I should give the new one another try then, or maybe it was just them live. They sounded very nice indeed.

Crap! I'm not even really against Metalcore as far as the basic formula/idea for it goes, I even like some bands like All That Remains (the newest album is just simply put awesome!), newer Raunchy and Unearth. My negative attitude is pointed towards the massive amount of really incapable bands playing this kind of music. And now we come to the singing, which I find to be really terrible in most of Metalcore bands simply becouse the singers are incapable. The poppy singing style sounds good to me if it's sung good, see? I hope I'm making sense to you all, I'm trying to not piss anyone off.

I have every album from "new american gospel" onwards, I think "Sacrament" is my favorite, but I've liked every one.
"Redneck", "Walk With Me In Hell" & "Now You've Got Something To Die For" are 3 songs that really get me going

This is to let all Lamb of God fans know that Burn The Priest is now finally commercially available again! It's in stores now!

For those that don't know, this is the earliest recording by them ever, when they were known as Burn The Priest. Due to their popularity they have reissued this release - probably remastered and all that as well, since it was a glorified demo when it first came out.

It was actually re-recorded and features a bonus song, which is also good. But, I'm confused by your post - these guys did this about three years ago, and also made it commercially available. Are you talking about some sort of re-re-release? That would be really annoying LOL.

BTW, I have both the original and re-recorded versions.

You know what? At about the time that I was checking out Ashes In The Wake [not saying that was when they re-issued it just saying it was at that time that I was listening to that album from these guys] I could have sworn I heard or read the same thing; but I saw it for the first time in the flesh with a sticker that wrapped around the spine and a flappy bit that contained the usual hype of what the release was about, but it made the whole re-issue sound like a new thing and a big deal. Another sticker has "Leading Edge - New Release" written on it as well.

I'm in Australia at the moment - so maybe this is a recent thing for Worldwide or Australasian distribution? They are American as you know so it would stand to reason if you guys received it a lot earlier than us. By the time they had all but taken over US, Australia had barely seen one tour!

So as you yanks say - go figure.

As for your last comment, I'll be sure to wank off heartedly tonight about how amazing you are at giving people money in exchange for goods and your expert capacity to keep them in your room and listen to them. [no offense, just trying to be funny]

I disagree with one sentence here - thrash !
They are METALCORE 4 fuck sake !!!
Except that, yeah, they are really awsome band and I like them since their 1st album.
I've wached DVD - Killadelphia and all I can say, I don't like Randy. Chris Adler is one calm & great person in that band and I respect it much than other members. And 1 of the best drummers ofc !
