****READ OR GET KILLED BY A GIANT LOCUST**** THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR PROMOTIONS! This is for the garage band you play in with your buddies, NOT for your legitimate bands, those band promotions go in the PROMOTIONS SECTION I know a lot of MS'ers are in bands or solo projects. I thought we should have a unique place to talk about our songs, and post vids or whatever. You can talk about any of your bands, past or present. 1. Rusulla This is my sludge/hardcore punk band I've started with some buddies.Heavy Baroness/Black Tusk/Cancer Bats influences. We haven't recorded anything yet but were working on it 2. Somber Eyes I'm pretty sure every MS'er knows about this so I'm not going to write about it. On Hiatus right now. 3. Elka This is my Drone/Ambient project, currently taking the place of Somber Eyes. Writing daily, and have some stuff recorded (will post when complete). Heavy Sunn O))) and Hyatari influences. YOUR TURN

Well I'm going to shamelessly plug my band as I usually do, some of you might have checked us out coz I've probably spammed you Inner Sanctum We're a Death Thrash band from India, we've released one EP in 2007 (reviewed on MS) and we're currently working on a full length. We have gigged extensively in India and supported quite a few International metal bands on their tours/gigs in India including Metallica, Cradle Of Filth,Enslaved ,Amon Amarth and Textures to name a few . Inner Sanctum is now looking at trying to setup a few tours outside India, so if any of you know any booking agents/promoters in your city give us a shout

Kudos at releasing something though. I would suggest getting a vocalist maybe :/ Also maybe a bit with editing tracks, I'm not sure if you meant the edits to sound like it were cut, but you might need to work on the editing if you didn't intend it to sound abrupt.

27.03.2012 - 20:43 Written by Boxcar Willy on 27.03.2012 at 18:01 good luck at it, it took me long before i was able to make something that sounded acceptable to me anyways, the link in my signature should lead to some of my stuff and i love being a vocalist, so if that spot is free in a project of yours i"d be interested, but i"m almost completely unable to write lyrics

04.04.2012 - 13:09 Written by Alphafemale on 04.04.2012 at 12:46 What??? Bandcamp is the best place for bands to be Bandcamp Its got an online store, so you can setup transactions and if you have a website you can link it to bandcamp for a merch store which is quite cool. By the way are you going for the Rokaj festival?

My bands: Sinister: I've been in this band for three years. We play prog death, melodeath and some brutal death. We're currently working on releasing an album. Main influences: Amon Amarth, Nile, Obscura, Death. Stallion: I founded this band this afternoon. We (intend to) play heavy metal. Main influences: Iced Earth, Manowar ('82 to '92 era). Cerberous: Another heavy metal band I founded a year ago. Main influences: Hell, Angel Witch. Thanatos: 'Death' in Greek. We play death metal but Death isn't really one of our influences. At the moment, we are experimenting with death metal with clean vocals. Previous bands: The Serpent's Crown: My old atmo black band. Those fuckheads released a demo after my departure using my lyrics. I don't care 'cause I don't want to play black metal anymore. Bands I'm thinking of joining: Thunderforce: A power metal band I was in. They asked me to re-join them as their current drummer can't play my parts. I think I will probably re-join the band. Broken Bones: A schoolmate asked me to join his thrash/alternative/heavy metal band but I don't think I will.

So here's the melo-death band that I used to be proud of but we're currently not active (I play keyobards and do a lot of the vocals): And here's the new old-school hard rock project I'm part of in Bulgaria. I'm confident we'll have some kind of local mainstream success here (I play keyboards). Would very much like to know what you like or hate

One of my friends and I are attempting to assemble a band and intend to fuse Deathcore with Black Metal. We are currently seeking a Drummer, Rhythm Guitarist, Keyboardist, and possibly vocalist, if that doesn't overlap with one of the other positions. We need the drummer to be capable of playing double bass drum, and ideally all members should be able to play in odd time signatures and handle time signature changes (frequently), and the drummer ideally capable of handling polyrhythms. as we intend to work in mathy, djent like elements. we are based in Waterbury CT, USA If interested, contact me at ale93@sbcglobal.net to set up an audition. our band is currently called "Facing The Collapse" though the name may change if we come up with something better.

Update guys: Sinister: I changed the band's name to "Winterfell". I also kicked out the vocalist and took over vocla duties alongside the bass duties. The rhythm guitarist left the band and he has been replaced too. Starfall: I founded this band as a side project for experimentation outside extreme metal. I got bandmates from the other bands. I know the new band names come from The Game Of Thrones but they sound pretty cool.
