Warg is an American raw and atmospheric black metal band formed in 2011. In the writings of J.R.R Tolkien, wargs are giant evil wolves that roamed Rhovanion, also known as Wilderland, and the wilds to the east of the Misty Mountains.

The band is a two piece project with Lurtz (ex-Ave Satanas, Nuklearenpest) on guitar/vocals and Shelob on drum; however they do not perform live. Their music can be compared to Woods of Desolation, and Summoning.

Their latest release, "Below the Misty Mountain" is out on Fallen Empire Records limited to 50 copies.

I'll have to check them out. Thanks! Btw, on another LOTRs note. I can't hear the word raw without thinking about Gollum saying, "Give it to us raw and wriggling."

Haha speaking of Gollum, his riddle was used for lyrics for the song "Riddles in the Dark". straight from "The Hobbit" book.
