Mmm let's make a rough estimation.

I got into metal in September 1979, so I have been listening to it for 33 years now. At the lowest point I listened to about 150 new albums a year at at the highest about 550. So let's add up divide by two and round down to an average of 300 albums a year I heard. So that would make 9900 albums in my life time. Let's make that a nice round figure of 10,000

And this question is like asking me how many baked dinners I've had, to which my answer is I haven't got the foggiest.

I would say now it is somewhere around 1,500 and counting

I don't know but like M. I'll make a rough estimation.
I got into metal in 1988 I think, so I have been listening to it for 26 years now.
I don't have a clue how many new albums a year but let's say an average of 200.
That's 200 x 26 = 5200. Let's make that a nice round figure of 5000.

Around 1000 I guess , in 5 years that I've been into metal . and I'm already kinda tired ... just wanna listen to what I have instead of exploring more , maybe I'm just lazy

Well, i'm young i still have time and obviously i'm not as experienced as most people here...i'm roughly somewhere around 1000 (never been counting, really) but the name of the topic doesn't state that those have to be only metal albums so...the actual answer to that question would be a little higher xD

Album = 100 % of it without shuffling etc.

In that case, it's probably way less than one would expect from someone listening to metal as long as I have (8 years). I used to almost always just put my library on shuffle or listen to a bunch of random songs by a band instead of full albums in order.

I used to listen to single tracks for nearly a year (I regret that), but I only counted the FULL albums I listened to.

Useless thread, unless you actually are intrigued and care desperately about how much someone else has listened to albums, which doesn't really convey anything but a number.

550 maybe. Possibly more (it may be 650, I couldn't remember if I was up to 2 or 3 hundred at one point). And they're all cds, 99% that I own and purchased legaly. Not streamed or downloaded or listened to on youtube or something.
