I have noticed that for those topics that exceeded 1000 replies there always shows "1001" in number of posts on forum index, no matter how many new posts arrive. Is that intentional?

Jep it is, especially for threads like the pub and funny stuff. Basically the first post gets deleted once the number of posts exceeds 1000.

So this is where my posts are disappearing  i was wondering why i see "7849" posts in my profile, but only "5680" in search results (or is there another reason for that?)

I think there's another reason for that. Remember MS has had a couple of different versions.
