Written by Troy Killjoy on 15.08.2014 at 04:34 I am still rubbing my eyes in disbelief (half an hour after reading it) from having read what that guy said about ATG having spawned deathcore/metalcore. The deathcore claim is totally ludicrous and about metalcore... proper metalcore was already around in the 80s in the form of Cro Mags after their debut album, Agnostic Front on an album such as Cause For Alarm. It did however influence what people call metalcore nowadays, where the core part of the name should be dropped, to be honest, since it has nothing to do with hardcore whatsoever.

I'm not sure what's more flat: the songs, the production or the vocals. I think Heroes And Tombs and The Conspiracy Of The Blind are the only things I enjoyed on this

I don't go in for all this commentary on albums prior to their release. I don't know how you young punks even get it before release, but that's your thing these days. Whatever floats your boat. The gotta have it now generation. Anyway, on the strength of the two offically released songs, I've got high expectations of a pretty decent album (when it comes out). I can wait. Anticipation is sometimes even better than the actual experience. Here's hoping that the anticipation and the experience are on a par with each other this time.
