Paradise Lost - Premiere New Video

As you already know, UK gothic legends Paradise Lost are preparing to release their new album The Plague Within on June the 1st via Century Media Records. After the first single "No Hope In Sight" which was released some time earlier, today they revealed the first official video from the forthcoming album for the song "Beneath Broken Earth". You can check it out below. So what are you waiting for? Go see it and share your opinion about it!

Greg Mackintosh described the song: "The slowest song we have ever recorded. 'Beneath Broken Earth' is utter, old school Paradise Lost doom/death song and doing a performance video with our miserable, old faces barely moving in a crappy, old basement was too much to resist. The director Ash has done a great job of capturing the sombre mood and has managed to make a performance video we can actually be proud of."

If you missed it, you can also check the first single off of the new album here.

I really wasn't expecting anything up to this quality. But this bodes immensely well for the entire album.

You wouldn't think this was the same band that came up with the likes of One Second and Host. Don't get me wrong I'm one of few who enjoy those albums, and this new material sounds promising as well

If this album is anything like the 2 songs released until now, then we're in for someting big... literally! Haven't seen such a tight performance done by these guys since the 90s. Not even the latest albums, which are far from being average do not have the tight performance these 2 songs have. Fucking brilliant!

Count me among the surprised ones as well. It got heavier and his vocals don't suck this time. Definitely gonna check the album now.

Another amazing song and Nick's vocals kill. I liked all of of PL's recent albums, but this is a major shift.

I am not surprised at all, PL is a fantastic band. Every album is piece of art, and this material is not the exception.

PL touches the essence of dark matters like masters , and only a few more bands can do that...but they are pioneers in a sublime kind of gothic doom music

Ok and very 1990s sounding but a bit boring. I prefer their clean vocaled stuff and was never a fan of slow music or DM era PL.

Get out, now.

The first two songs seem to be enough for making people's jaws drop. I can't imagine what's gonna happen when we hear the rest of the album.

It's funny how people whined about Nick Holmes' growls on the last Bloodbath album, and no one is commenting on them now, even though they sound exactly the same.

There is quite a difference between the two.
Here they are deeper and have more subtsance to them. PLus his growls fit this music better than that of Bloodbath.

There's a major difference in quality and how much it suits the music indeed. on Bloodbath they sounded so forced.

So the problem was the music, not the vocals.

No, they sounded forced on bloodbath so that is a vocal problem and not a musical one.
