In Flames - Bassist Peter Iwers Leaving The Band
In Flames are losing another long-time member. After drummer Daniel Svensson left last year, to be replaced by Joe Rickard, now is bassist Peter Iwers who departs to "pursue other endeavours". He's been in the band since 1997 and will leave after the band's U.S. tour dates with Hellyeah which will last until December.
He explained his departure: "Friends, I have decided to leave In Flames to pursue other endeavours. As a result, this current US tour will be my last one with In Flames so if you are around, come and say hi. It has been almost 20 years of fun and I am eternally grateful to you all for all the support you have given me and the rest of the guys throughout all these years. You made it all possible. Now is the time for me to move on with other musical and non musical adventures. I wish the very best to Niclas, Anders, Björn & Joe. Hope to see all you Jesterheads down the road in my future endeavors. Follow my instagram @peteriwers for updates May the force be with you. Sincerely, Peter."

Written by Joe Zombie on 04.12.2016 at 06:31 Actually nothing is official yet, I think they will need sometime first (especially for Peter to forget the past 8 years of his life  ). So far I heard the Dimension Zero is working on a new album so i think that's something to keep Jesper busy!

The page on this site said they broke up a second time in 2014: http://metalstorm.net/bands/band.php?band_id=1428&bandname=Dimension%2BZero. If the rumor is true, I hope the album is up to snuff with their earlier stuff. Favorite tracks were Amygdala and Blood On The Streets. Thinking again about it, if the new formation announcement was a revival of Dimension Zero it would make sense. Jesper could concentrate on lead guitar while Peter plays bass. In any case, I'm excited to see what the announcement will be.

I also happened to come across this news from last May: http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/former-in-flames-guitarist-jesper-stromblad-on-his-new-band-we-have-such-great-chemistry/ The dude seemed to be working on new stuff for Dimension Zero but only him and the drummer are available, so yeah it makes sense that Peter joins them. Let's see what will happen!
