Good list, there's a few on your list I really like, and a few I have yet to hear. It's not the best of years imo, but I've managed to find album's I personally found worthy enough for me to make a top 15 list

Once again I think this is a pretty decent year and perhaps you're just not lucky and you didn't listen to the most interesting stuff that came out at the time, as might be shown by the fact that our lists have nothing in common.
Here would be my top, all genres and and formats combined:

1. Igorrr - Hallelujah (avant-garde metal / breakcore)
2. Pseudogod - Deathwomb Catechesis (blackened death)
3. 大高丈宙 - Eutopia (glitch pop / experimental / flashcore)
4. Tsalal - Tsalal (black metal / noise)
5. Sigh - In Somniphobia (avant-garde metal)
6. Laurel Halo - Quarantine (ambient pop / electronic)
7. Genocide Shrines - Devanation Monumentemples (black / death)
8. Drawn and Quartered - Feeding Hell's Furnace (death)
9. Havohej - Purple Cloak (black metal / experimental)
10. Blunt Force Trauma - Vengeance for Nothing (brutal death)
11. Akphaezya - Anthology IV: The Tragedy of Nerak (avant-garde metal)
12. Morbus Chron - A Saunter Through the Shroud (death)

Nah, I just don't have interesting taste Your's however is very interesting.
I didn't listen to new music at the time - I was too busy back then so I'm catching up now and naturally flocking to the bands I grew up with first.
Plus, I just haven't been in the mood for anything challenging lately, like those Lacuna Coil and Candlemass ones aren't exactly considered masterpieces, but I found them really enjoyable chillout albums. Getting old syndrome, I guess.
