Australia's premier prog metal sensation Alarum joins forces with melodic thrash pioneers Frankenbok, for a night of blistering metal set to paint the town 'brutal'!
Alarum have spent the past year writing for their 3rd opus 'Natural Causes' and will take a well earned break to play The Arthouse Hotel, Saturday June 13. Their technical/progressive jazz/fusion influenced style of thrash/death metal has continued to evolve over the years and has taken the band off shore performing with metal giants Dark Tranquillity, Necrophagist, Lamb of God, Testament, Job For A Cowboy and many more.

Co-headlining is the mighty Frankenbok. They return home to dish out their brand of old school southern styled thrash, after an extensive national tour for the first half of the year. Look out for the release of their 3 part DVD and a 6th album in late 2009.

NSW's premier metal band Switchblade have been stirring headlines recently after acquiring the talents of grammy award winning producer Neil Kernon (Nile, Cannibal Corpse) and guitar god Jeff Loomis (Nevermore) for their second album 'Invictus Infinitum'. The CD has been recieving rave reviews nationally and internationally and like the band, boasts an intense maturity unsurpassed on the Aussie front.

Melbourne's own female fronted thrashers Black Like Vengeance return for one show only this year as they commence their indefinate hiatus while they write for their full length album, 'Noir'. It is not only their crushing riffs, shredding leads but the haunting beauty and sheer brutality of front woman Sheri Tantawy's voice who puts many of her male and female contemparies to shame, stunning audiences across the country. BLV will bid farewell to one of it's original founding members Drew Hanley.

Opening the night will be young melodic thrash band Eye of the Enemy who shared a stage with Cradle of Filth on their recent Aussie tour. Their ferocious live performance will leave you wanting more.

Get into your best metal attire but be sure to leave your ego's and your emo's at home because Saturday June 13 is a night for pure undiluted metal!
