Pilgrim's frontman, vocalist and guitarist, Jon Rossi (The Wizard), has reportedly passed away aged 26, so young. Details surrounding his death have yet to be disclosed, though tributes from colleagues in the metal community have begun to surface online. But the doom metal band hasn't released any statement about it so far. Last week, they cancelled their European tour and were planning to release new music. Rest in peace.

Doom metallers Pilgrim are returning to the road in June to showcase their newest offering II: Void Worship. The album was released in April and the imminent East Coast/Midwest tour will also feature support from Age Of Taurus. It begins on June 14th in New Bedford, Massachusetts and wraps up in Brooklyn on June 25th.

Since the early 2012 unveiling of their debut, Misery Wizard, fans have awaited the second chapter from Rhode Island doom bringers Pilgrim. Recently, it has been revealed that it will be called II: Void Worship and the new album was recorded at Moonlight Mile Recording by audio architect Mike Moebius. US doom metal band Pilgrim has officially joined forces with Metal Blade Records. Their debut album, Misery Wizard, was released in early 2012 through Alan Averill's Metal Blade imprint, Poison Tongue Records. The band is currently working on the new album, which will be recorded sometime this month at Emandee Studios. More details will follow soon.
