Posts: 6 Written by [user id=291] on 13.09.2010 at 16:59 Don't know if he had a previous band, but the Defeated Sanity were founded in 1994 by Wolfgang Teske and his son Lille Gruber, so this was a father/son project, and obviously the father had to be going into the forties. Probably this is the unique case of a father/son band in Metal, and that it worked for so long tells us good things about their relationship. It's not hard to imagine a father and a son this close discovering new sounds toghether and ending up on Death Metal. Hail to them! (Yeah, I know, I'm rather nostalgic today, full of mellow stories in my head.)

Here are bits of his last recordings in his other band, Neue Aera. He really was an outstanding musician - here he does drums in an improvised jazz band. The song, Hillbillix, is pretty cool.
