Wheel - Bassist Leaves Band, Replacement Announced

A few days ago a line-up change has happened in the Wheel camp. The band has confirmed that their founding member and bassist Mikko Määttä has left the band. On the other hand, Wheel are very excited to introduce Aki Virta (Kotiteollisuus), who will step in as the new permanent bassist of the band.

Comments the band on Mikko's departure: "We unfortunately have to announce that our bassist Mikko has decided to leave Wheel for reasons that out of respect for his privacy, we are unwilling to discuss. We collectively wish Mikko well with his future endeavours and have felt truly privileged to work on the band with him over the past four years - good luck with whatever comes next from all of us!"

Regarding the new addition to the ranks: "We can announce that Wheel's new bassist will be the amazing Aki Virta. He kicks ass. Come check out one of our upcoming shows to see for yourself! Regarding shows, we have some really cool stuff in the pipeline for 2020 that we will announce as soon as we can."
