Fires In The Distance - To Release Instrumental Version Of Latest Album

Melodic death doom metal group Fires In The Distance will release an instrumental version of their acclaimed sophomore album, Air Not Meant For Us, on October 6.

Speaking on the news, Yegor Savonin (composition, guitars, programming, lyrics) comments: "As we get closer to closing out the year and our tour with Dawn Of Ouroboros, we have one more component of our new album left to release. As with our last album, Air Not Meant For Us will be released in full instrumental format on October 6.

"Alongside the album announcement we've shared a playthrough video for "Adrift, Beneath The Listless Waves", which was once again filmed by our friend and videographer Jayson Cessna of Astralborne, and features the masterful James Tomedi of Burial In The Sky contributing a scathing guest solo."

Cant think of a reason why I would listen to the instrumental version.

Some people prefer music without vocals more, sometimes occasionally. Imo the instrumental version of Time I is waaay better than with the vocals. It just allows the amazing compositions to shine through better, and for me, that itself is enough.

Yeah I can see that people like instrumental more, especially for some bands where the vocals are divisive like The Ocean. But personally I get bored super fast with instrumental stuff, except if it's post metal / rock. Clearly just a personal thing though

The vocals on this album are pretty bad IMO. Not sure having none is an improvement, but I might check it out anyway.
