Dawn Of Ouroboros - Line Up Changes
Atmospheric black metal act from Oakland, California, Dawn Of Ouroboros, shared news that bassist David Scanlon and drummer Ron Bertrand have decided to left the band. More can be read below.
Full statement from the band: "If you saw us on tour this past summer, you may have noticed that our line-up looked a little different. Our long-time bassist David and our drummer Ron have decided to step down to focus on their ever growing personal life responsibilities. Both no longer felt that can commit the time needed to keep up with the activity level of the band. David has decided to focus on a growing career in real estate. In which he has had a great deal of success in recent years. While Ron has seen a new addition to his family within the past year with the birth of his first child and needs to focus his full attention on his family.
"David and Ron were founding members of the band, and it is incredibility sad for them to depart, but we wish them the absolute best. Our relationship with both of them is still fantastic. Ron will still be playing with Tony in Botanist, and both might make an appearance on stage for one off show in the SF Bay Area here and there. We will, however, miss seeing them in person as frequently as we have over the past four years.
"As David had stepped down before the recording of our upcoming album, our rhythm guitarist Ian has moved over to bass, which is his primary instrument. You will hear his work on the upcoming album. Ron will still be featured on the upcoming album with perhaps his finest drum work for the band.
"Having said all this, we would like to enthusiastically welcome Chris Stropoli as our new drummer going forward! You may also know him as the drummer of our good friends Tómarúm. Chris did his first official tour with us over the summer and has already shown himself to be an invaluable addition to the band, and we can wait to work with him on future material.
"Again, we can't understate the contributions both David and Ron had to starting this band and being part of the journey to be where we are today. They will always be family to us."
