I kid. Don't take my comment seriously. Maybe it's cos its America, but I would've said the same thing to Italy, or Belgium, or god knows where else. I just really wish they would do the same thing here in Australia.

really... the stimulus package works like this:
1) massive tour featuring Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax and they are only playing their best material from the 80's.
2) jobs are created for the tour = increase in employment rate
3) ppl all over American going crazy
4) ppl all over the world go crazy too and flood to America to watch those shows
5) great for the tourism industry
6) Americans themselves also go to these gigs in masses
7) after gig = go out to bars and drink or go party (benefiting local economy, then you get the multiplier effect and blah blah blah)
8) increase in consumer spending
9) GDP increase because of that
10) current account more positive as well probably
11) i.e. perfect stimulus package

(revisits this thread and is happy to see Obama/Porkulus being mocked and ridiculed.)

Frankly, i'd be cool if we took Dragonforce, Obama, and SA, dumped them in Canberra, and left them there.

That would be so fucking good to have the same tour in Europe!!!

I was at this show in October in NYC. Was great!
