Phantom Spell - Heather & Hearth

Clearly influenced by 70s progressive and hard rock bands such as Uriah Heep, Yes, and Deep Purple, with some 80s heavy metal thrown in. I like this a lot, it's a very enjoyable album with impressive songwriting from a hugely talented individual.

The bands you mentioned being an influence in the sound are enough to make me look at it right away.

Edit: Yeah this is a wonderful album and journey. I love the sound, composition and atmosphere. You can definitely feel an influence of european heavy/power metal ballads in there too. Its even more impressive knowing that this is essentially a 1 man band... I really love Evil Hand it's short, effective and beautifully crafted even the lyrics are interesting. Great stuff, thanks Andy for pointing it out I'll spin it some more! Edit 2: And now I'm hooked on A Distant Shore this is a true little gem that keeps on giving.
