While it certainly isn’t without its highlights, I have found 2024 to be a bit short on truly standout releases compared with the previous few years, and those that have caught my attention have typically been from bands I was already well acquainted with. I reckon there's quite a few categories come the next MSAs in February that will be a bit thin on worthy nominees, but one category that once again will be a case of squeezing 20 worthy albums into 10 will be Extreme Progressive - this is yet another excellent album in the category in 2024, and what an exciting release as a band's debut

Wow, what a debut! The songwriting on this album is absolutely fantastic, one of the best progressive death metal releases I've heard in some time I must say.
