"Otherside" must be one of the oldest song that I still like very much. It's very touching for me. I saw the video when I wa slike 6-7 and it was mindblowing for me.

They are very good. But I don't use to listen to them,

the chili peppers are one of the most consistent bands of any genre. since they started in 1980whatever or whenever they started, theyve made damn good music thats good to drink to, get high to, or just listen to stone sober. and on top of that, all their members are fucking ANIMALS at their given instruments, Flea especially. cheers to the chili peppers!

I like RHCP. They were one of the first (good) bands I listened to growing up along with Rage Against the Machine, and other classic rock bands. I really like their older stuff when they were a bit more funk/punk rock like What Hits!? and Blood Sugar Sex Magik. I also listened to Californiacation a lot and remember listening to it a good amount when I was younger. I was actually given their newest one when it came out from a relative and it wasn't that bad at all. They are a very consistent band and from what I've heard they put on a great live show. I will always respect these guys

There not bad, a band i often turn to when i just want to mellow out and listen to something a bit less hectic(bad description yah whatever). Californication is the one i listen to teh most, by stadium arcadium is starting to catch me too now.

I'm very surprised to see RHCP on MS, although they were funk/metal. Good band indeed, though I don't listen to them very often. And I don't care what everybody says, One Hot Minute is not a bad album! Dave Navarro does a great job as a funk/metal gutarist! too bad the album lakes it predecessors energy...

If you can't hear more than three different kinds of song on the great album that is Californication, then you haven't heard Californication. And to say nothing of BloodSugarSexMagik... almost perfect rock music.

I bought Stadium sometime last year but still haven't listened to it... I've been too lazy to change the non-metal discs in my CD player.

Yeah Chill peppers is a really unconventional band, I like em, some of my favorites are Venice queen, Snow ( very trendy , but good song) Soul To squeeze, Don't forget me, slow Cheetah etc, but like all bands not all their songs can be hits or good and in my opinion that's where their flaw is. most of their songs are just too whack for me, too trippy. but the ones I do like I like ALOT. I specially love John's Blues influenced solos, they send those chills all over, start feeling all tinglely a severely underated guitarist IMO I cant really say anything though cause an artistic has the right to experiment (they can't always please eveyone) sometimes they got to write for their own love of making music they like, thats why one joins a band no? or want to try out, but as an on looker I can share my opinion I think based on my likes overall I give them a

I am a little pea

I'm a teeny tiny little ant
Checking out this and that
I am nothing aaaa
So you have nothing to hide
And I'm a pacifist
So I can fuck your shit up
Oh yeah I'm small
Oh yeah I'm small

Fuck you asshole
You homophobic redneck dick
You're big and tough and macho
You can kick my ass
So fucking what!

One of my first and forever favorite rock band ever. Slane Castle live was fucking brilliant. Californication, By The Way and also Stadium Arcadium. Brilliant releases.

Now that John has left the band, I wonder how will they approach the music now. I'm expecting big changes for their upcoming album.

^ Nice song. John Frusciante's return should make them relevant again at least, judging from this one.

Black Summer lacks the funk and spark that Frusciante brought to the band in the past. Quite disappointing IMHO

Enslaved guitarist Arve Isdal (Ice Dale) is a fan of John Frusciante. He made the following (and other) statements about JF in a recent interview with “GuitarWorld”:

“I almost cried when I first saw John Frusciante live. But when I got involved in extreme music, people would say, ‘Don’t mention RHCP’”
