Emptiness - Error

An interesting take on abstract death metal. Love how layered and chaotic the songwriting is but some ideas seem not to be fully developed and there is unused potential. Compared to their latest record, this is primarily death metal. Moreover, comparisons with portal and aevangelist do not do justice to this record. Those bands might play the most similar music to this record but there's more on this.
I can't say that it's bad that they went for somehow a different path on NbtH but it could be good if they mastered their sound on Error on the next records.
