Sumac - The Deal

Huge fan of Isis (the band) here. This sounded extremely dull and monotonous to me. Would love for someone who has enjoyed it to explain what I might be missing here.

Pretty slow. Heavy, but I found it to be somewhat dull and unmemorable. I give it props for sounding different from most of the stuff I have heard so far this year. Blight's End Angel has it's moments.

How disappointing. Ever since I learned of this group I've been super excited. It isn't fair to draw comparisons but sometimes you can't help it. This is mostly underwhelming, boring, and far too long for what it offers. Heavy as hell, but that can't save it alone. Most memorable track: Hollow King.

This is one of the finest releases this year, cant understand the low rate .. Nick drumming alone deserves higher rating
