One of the most unique musicians of modern experimental music, Igorrr, just announced that a new album is on the way. Find more info below. The new record will follow 2012's full-length Hallelujah and also 2014's Maigre, a collaboration EP between Igorrr and Ruby My Dear.

Igorrr said: "The new album is almost finished, we have 11 tracks nearly done and 3 music videos on the way, the first ones we have ever done. The recordings started in February 2014, so the time start being a bit long for us. Also, for those who are into cinema, I did the complete music of the new movie of the French director Bruno Dumont, more news will follow ! But it should be out next year.

On the top of that, Patrick (my chicken) wrote a new symphony, which is called 'Chicken Sonata' and which will be released on Monday (26.09.2016).

We all know that Patrick is the real brains behind Igorrr. Gautier is just the human face of the band so he can get record deals etc.

Miagre was a lot better and more evolved record than the last full length. So hoping more in that vein.

Nah, after revisiting it recently Miagre is probably the least good thing attached to Igorrr. It's a good collab but the Ruby My Dear breakcore contribution really waters it down. Hallelujah is basically perfect.

Could be. I remember Hallelujah being way too weird and aggressive when I listened to it. Thats why I've sticked to Miagre whenever I wanted a dose of Igorrr; it was more easy on the ears and very memorable and had a lot of symphonic parts, melodies and hooks. Need to revisit the full lengths again since I've completely forgotten how they were now.

That's weird, I feel the opposite way: Miagra seemed harsher and far more breakcore oriented than Hallelujah, outside of a couple of tracks. Dunno, Hallelujah just felt like a record that had years spent on it whereas Miagre felt like ideas thrown into a melting pot and brought out a tad too early.

Miagre might sound like unfinished and a watered down Igorrr but it sure as hell wasn't harsh to me. Hallelujah felt like a true overdose for me, it had lots of complex and aggressive electronics, weird and experimental parts and could've had some noise parts too . I didn't revisit it a lot and was also quite a while back tbh so I don't remember.

I'm definitely with 3rdWorld, Maigre was way more focused and just better all around. Also, stop calling it 'Miagre' please

I remember checking Hallelujah for the first time and it comes out to be totally bastardized affair. Very fucking experimental with new elements cuts-in from time to time, absolutely brilliantly executed and then it's breakcore. I loved it 'cause it was brilliantly set up and then sounds really justified what Igorrr is made up of.

Somehow, i didn't find collab to be on the level of "Hallelujah" but still a kick ass collab of 2014.

Didn't listen to the collaboration. Only bothered with Hallelujah which was a very good album but not as awesome as Joe and some other peeps say.
