So, what's for lunch, today? Some angry, tireless, modern metal. Five Finger Death Punch keep on delivering their Pantera-inspired groove metal, eager to confirm that the success brought by The Way Of The Fist didn't come just casually.
An Italian rap song says "il secondo album è sempre il più difficile", that is "the second album is always the harder". And that's not totally wrong, because the second release is burdened by the heritage of the debut and by the sky-high expectations, so that the artists, overwhelmed by responsibilities, often feel oppressed and fail to reach the result achieved with the previous release.

I first heard about this band when my local radio station started playing "Bad Company" and "Far From Home". I finally got the whole album a few months later. "Crossing Over" and "Walk Away" were my ultimate favorites, but the whole album was just amazing.

It seems to me pretty strange to have "Succubus" as a b-side. Imo is one of the best song off the album...

I actually enjoyed this album way more than the first one. I didn't expect it to be as good as it was.
Much like a good video game sequel, this album takes all that The Way of the Fist was and fines tunes the sound; it keeps all that is good about The Way of the Fist and removes most of the weaker elements. The heavy parts were more interesting, the ballads were done much better, the lyrics were less cheesy, and both shouted and clean vocals were vastly improved this time around. All in all, a pleasant surprise.
