Hands down, Calculating Infinity is part of the 'holy trinity' of metal/intense/technical albums ever released EVER.
Along with Metallica's Ride the Lightning and Between The Buried And Me's Colors...If you do not own this and LOVE it...then you should just stick to listening to Conway Twitty

This album is just madness, but I guess that's what the band intended anyway. It isn't all that memorable, but as someone who 'understands' DEP's musical directions, it is for a good purpose. The intensity begins right from the start, and never actually ends until the very last seconds of 'Variations on a Cocktail Dress'. What a good start to a very good band indeed.
