I lost interest in Sepultura a long time back, but it would be interesting if they release something groundbreaking

Unfortunately, the Cavalera brothers aren't doing anything interesting either. Cavalera Conspiracy, bleh.

I have finished listening to this, and unsurprisingly, it really is very average stuff. Most of the songs sound very similar to one another, and very little stands out. Although "Born Strong" is a great song. I was hoping that Dante XIII (The only Sepultura album I truly love with Derrick on vocals) wasn't a fluke, but its seeming more and more like that was the case. Shame.

What is this and why do I like it? It isn't an amazing album by any stretch...but I think this is the first good album I've heard of Sepultura since Chaos A.D.

This band never gets it right. And it's been happening for almost 20 years. Hence, 6/7 albums which are forgettable and mediocre at best. Figure out the worst. Maybe "Roots" was the beginning of the end, but this "end" has been dragged for too long...
4,5 - becomes 5 just because is slightly better than "A-Lex".

And once again an album by Sepultura which is superior to anything done by Soulfly.

I sort of enjoyed listening to this the first time, but that's the only time I was remotely interested.
This album has got to have some of the most repetitive riffing I think I've ever heard, and that is probably the most annoying thing I think any band can ever do to a song. Take for example, the first track! You just listen to the first bit of it and you can already tell it's going to suck. SERIOUSLY! THE RIFF JUST KEEPS REPEATING OVER AND OVER AND OVER! It's not until 1:27 on "Spectrum" that you finally hear a different riff being played, and even that gets repetitive too! What a horrible way to start off an album!
I will say though that the album starts to pick up from that point a little though with songs like "Kairos", "Mask", "Relentless", "Born Strong" and "No One Will Stand". I feel that these would have to be the most interesting songs on the album.
This album is definitely not their worst by any means. Although to be fair, you couldn't have really expected anything much out of this album since this band's pretty much been dead since Max Cavalera & Igor Cavalera left. However, if you still like Sepultura without either of the Cavalera brothers and want to give this a chance, I will worn you that you'll probably expect the same feelings that you had from A-Lex, only maybe a little better.

Some enjoyable moments on this album. Rating this a 4.0 seems a bit harsh to me. Not a gem like classic albums Roots or Beneath the Remains, but not bad either.

I definitely don't see "Roots" as a classic album, but I'd take it over "Kairos" any day of the week... But, "Sepulnation" is still probably the worst album Seps have yet put out.

First, the album doesn't call sepulnation.. It call only Nation! And isn't good at all but in percussion is brilliant!
And to me the worst albums are "Morbid & Bestial". Bad riffs and lyrics, ugly vocals... Really sucks!!

There is song called Sepulnation though!
I can't agree with that... Morbid Visions and Bestial Devestation are way better than Nation... there is some great stuff on those releases if you can get past the primitive playing and production! lol

It's ok... Is your personal taste! I never liked that albums, musically poors for me!!
But although Nation is a disappointment, the work of Igor was really awesome!

I really will not get while ignorant review sites and closed minded elitists keep writing off Sepultura for simply not having Max and Igor in it anymore and for not caring that Andreas and Paulo were just as much of the band as they were, or for not producing an exact copy of Arise/ChaosA.D/Roots again. It almost seems like mindless whining and nit picking. Grow up people. In my opinion, Derrick has eclipsed Max as a more energetic and engaging frontman, and even Post-Max Sepultura's more average releases (Nation, Against, Dante) have better songs then most of Soulfly's or Cavalera's Conspirecy's albums.
