Power metal children, come here, the food's ready! So what's for today? Beyond The Space Beyond The Time is. This is a long, elaborate and refined power metal release by a Polish act Pathfinder who have been around since 2006. This one is their first full length release. And for a first release, one has to admit, this is a long and complex album. For that, the band has done an impressive job. The musicians have not just tried to surprise the audiences with a mere debut album but a masterpiece at once.

I was blown away by this album; non of the big names delivered music of such quality in their latest effort.
It gives me the feeling that I had when I first listened to the likes of BG's "Imaginations From The Other Side" or Lost Horizon's "Awakening The World " or Rhapsody's "Symphony of Enchanted Lands": you get that strong masterpiece vibe all over even from the first listen.

This is album is like DragonForce meets Rhapsody of Fire or something like that. I loved it. Awesome!

Great album. I think it's the best one from power metal albums, released in 2010. At last we have really great symphonic power metal band with future from POLAND!

Personally， I feel this album somehow over bright, it gives me a sense something flows on surface, wish them to make a album deeper in future.
The leading voice is high enough, but short of breath:erm:

This is a very good symphonic power metal album for sure but there is no need to bash bands like Rhapsody. Pathfinder has learn much with them for sure and they are still a huge giant within the style.
There is room in the style for more great bands like Rhapsody but this is only one album. Pathfinder has still to prove themselves against the test of time. I remind you all of Lost Horizon, what a great band it could have been but failed the test of time.
So... great debut, great album, great sound... I gave an 8 so far, might raise it to 9 but I still need to listen a couple times more.

PS: Just a curious note, when I first listen to the album I had always the feeling they were an Italian band. I think this shows the influence Italian bands have in this style, or at least on me.

And rating an album 1 (meaning worst ever) if you think "THE INSTRUMENTALS ARE GREAT, THE VOCALS ARE GOOD, BUT THE LYRICS ARE SHITS". So the worst album on the world has a great instrumental performance, good vocals, but just bad lyrics? Damn I wish that was true.
