01. Tales Of Woe 02. As The World Burns 03. Strangers 04. The Beacon 05. Something Vile 06. My Body, My Blood 07. Gentle Touch Of A Killer 08. Screaming Reflections 09. Midnight Draws Near
The mellower sound of the album is confirmed here, but I liked it anyway.
Oh, and I really want an inflatable T-Rex disguise like this one. Reminded me of some Dr McNinja moments
I have a feeling that his album will get a Leprous treatment from the voters. Nevertheless it's a magnificent Tom Waits jamming with Arcturus album. Yes it's more rockish, but oh man those bluesy and crazy soundscapes and vocals from the madhouse gives amazing pleassure.
Actually it is, yes. I revisit it regularly. It can't claim the heights of awesomeness some songs on The Tower had ("Lost Among Liars"), but it's really, really good nonetheless...

Well that is largely true, I guess Stranger Times is more fascinating as a whole rather than serving truly memorable songs. "Strangers" is a killer song though.

World won't end today - it's already tomorrow in Australia.

Indeed (still, "Midnight Draws Near" ans "As The World Burns" take the cake for me )
Took me some time, but I actually now prefer this one to The Tower, I guess. Sure, no song here can surpass "Lost Among Liars", but some do get pretty close ("Midnight Draws Near", "As The World Burns", and "Strangers" already mentioned in this thread, but also "Gentle Touch Of A Killer").
A fantastic album, but one you definitely must take time to let its spell work on you
Not totally mindblowing music, but highly enjoyable songs nevertheless. I suppose the songwriting could be more adventurous; there is some similarity between some of the songs, while other songs stick out as noticeable better. Tales of Woe and Midnight Draws Near sound like favorites to me and I must admit that Strangers is another great song, as already pointed out in this thread.
The average rating looks kind of low and I think the reason is most likely that some of these songs don't appear as anything special. For me, though, the album hits the spot pretty successfully.
