Disappointed by the recent !T.O.O.H.! album? Well let's not forget the existence of this then. Featuring Wokis of the aforementioned !T.O.O.H.! at the helm, this wonderful little Duobetic Homunkulus EP is far more likely to appease those dissatisfied fans than anything else released this year. Not only is this one of the most creative tech-death records ever made, it's probably the most fun. It quite literally doesn't take itself too seriously; something pretty rare for the genre.

Only half way through and I'm already giving this a 9. Some seriously great and creative death metal. Pretty much what you'd expect from an ex !T.O.O.H.! member though.

This kicks the ass of anything "technical" that came out the twelve months before it.

This is music that is having fun likes to share it.

Strong EP of the year candidate.

That tangent in the middle of Polámal se hřídeleček with the polka sounding horns, yodeling, and the double bass is fucking awesome!

Extremely well-produced, I think. It sounds both organic and clear. Everything is perfectly audible and different elements come to the fore on cue, yet it manages to sound warm.

Ha. This sounds more like !T.O.O.H.! than !T.O.O.H.! himself.

Why I'm hearing this just now.
The most fun tech death ever? Possibly.
