Joyful event in a tavern in the middle of nowhere .. being my usual daft self I departed too late and heard only the last song of Finsterforst. I love them and so of course I liked what little I saw of their live performance ..
Pantheon I are not going to be new favourite band, but they played a very enjoyable set of their fairly melodic black metal with progressive and doomy elements. The crowd of 50 or so dwindled however during the performance, which left more precious room for those who remained.
Trollfest appeared to me as a powerful comedy show, driven by a chain smoking saxophone player and the bellowing voice of the frontman, who speaks a lovable German and did some great interaction with the crowd. The audience loved them and released them only after a handful of encores.
