Here is new black metal to discover. The Bulgarian band Sources Of I is offering a full stream of their new EP Faces, that will be out on August 14th through Tanquam Aegri Somnia (Kaotoxin). You can stream it via SoundCloud below. Faces, the debut EP by the band, is a 21 minutes epic, doomy, black metal journey.
Death/doom metallers Indesinence are currently streaming online yet another new song called "Mountains Of Mind / Five Years Ahead (Of My Time)", the third from their upcoming album III and so you can get a good idea of the dimensions the band is exploring. Europe will be able to witness soon another Behemoth tour. The Polish death metal heavyweights have announced that they will be touring Europe in early 2016 still supporting their latest effort, The Satanist. This tour happening in January/February will feature as well Abbath, Inquisition and Entombed A.D. Get ready for one of the hottest extreme metal packages of 2016, Europa Blasphemia Tour.
Norwegian black metallers Vreid announced that they have completed work on thier upcoming new album. This is their 7th studio effort and will be released via Indie Recordings in October. More details will follow soon. With a new album out in October, the band also confirmed a set of European dates for 'Indie Recordings 10th Anniversary Tour'. Earlier this year, Insomnium announced a new North American tour. However, guitarist Ville Friman will not be joining the melodic death metallers on this trek due to his very busy work schedules. In fact, the stand-in guitarist for the whole tour will be Nick Cordle (Sanctuary, ex-Arch Enemy, ex-Arsis).
The French atmospheric doom metal band Ixion has announced that their upcoming album is ready for release. It has been mastered at Upload-studio, and the work on the artwork and pictures is also completed. The band is currently searching for a label to release it.
Venomous Concept are still active. The international grindcore punk "supergroup" will release its next record via their new label Season Of Mist. Finally and after too long of a quiet spell, the band decided that it was time for more music. They got together with a bunch of ideas, which they had recorded in demo form here and there, on tour, and in various rehearsal studios. The grinders recorded a new album during 2014, which sees the band continue in their trademark hardcore punk styles - with the added bonus of compositions by Lilker and Cooke.
My Dying Bride's newest opus and 12th full studio album is coming and will be called Feel The Misery, set for release on September 18th via Peaceville Records. German industrial metal band Oomph! have announced some details regarding their upcoming album. The album will be called XXV and will hit the stores the 31st of July. This new album will follow Des Wahnsinns Fette Beute. Good news for the fans of the band. The album has been produced by Oomph! and co-produced by Subway To Sally drummer Simon Michael.
Soilwork have announced a line-up change. The melodic death metallers, who are about to release a new album called The Ride Majestic, have a new bassist. As of this new album cycle, the band is joined by new bassist Markus Wibom, formerly of Helsingborg hardcore group Hearts Alive. Wibom replaces longtime bassist Ola Flink, who has amicably left the group to focus on other endeavors.
As you may know, symphonic metal band Whyzdom released a new album this year called Symphony For A Hopeless God. The first video taken from that record is finally out. The French have chosen the song "Tears Of A Hopeless God" for the music video which you can watch right here. Enjoy the epicness!
