Decapitated - All Members Released From Jail Awaiting Rape Trial

There's new developments in the Decapitated case. The Spokesman Review, which has been covering the case extensively, has reported that all four members of the Polish death metal band have been released from jail as they await trial of accusations they raped a Spokane woman. The band is now set to go to trial on January 16th, 2018.

Sigh - New Album Update, Coming Out In 2018

At the end of last year, Japanese avantgarde metallers Sigh announced that they were working on a new album, Heir To Despair, which is now nearing completion, one year later, according to their latest update. The band also confirmed that it's being released some time in 2018 to follow Graveward (2015).

Gnaw Their Tongues - New Album Coming, Debut New Track

The new Gnaw Their Tongues album, Genocidal Majesty, will be released on the 1st of February 2018 via Consouling Sounds (CD, vinyl) and Tartarus Records (cassette). For now, the Dutch project just shared a new video for the track "The Doctrine Of Paranoid Seraphims". The track features the vocal contribution of Chip King (The Body) and you can listen to it below. DFM of F Squared Media edited and directed the video.

Sodom - To Be Rejoined By Former Guitarists At 35th Anniversary Show

Sodom's 35th anniversary celebration show will be special as the German thrash legends will be rejoined on stage by former guitarists Josef "Grave Violator" Dominik (who was in the band from 1984-1985), Frank "Blackfire" Gosdzik (1987-1990) and Andy Brings (1991-1995) on December 26th at Zeche in Bochum, Germany to perform old classics.

Officium Triste - To Play At Malta Doom Metal 2018

Next year, there will be another Malta Doom Festival, and the first gem to be confirmed is Dutch death/doom veterans Officium Triste. They were the first band to be announced for the fest, followed by Damien Thorne. 2018 will mark the 10th edition of the Malta Doom Festival and they are working to give fans an event that will be remembered.

The Crown - Complete New Album Recordings

Swedish death/thrash purveyors The Crown have returned to Metal Blade Records for a multiple album deal. The group has just finished recording their new, currently untitled long-player at Studio Fredman, and the record "promises to be one of the biggest surprises of the upcoming year." Metal Blade will release Iron Crown, the first single from the upcoming album, as a limited 7″ on January 12th. Make sure to check out a video teaser of the song below.

David Ellefson - Resurrects Combat Records, Announce New Signings

Some of you might remember Combat Records as one of the seminal thrash labels of the 1980s, their most prominent artist being Megadeth. Combat was also home to Helstar, Circle Jerks, Exodus, Nuclear Assault, and many more of the most influential metal and punk bands around. Megadeth's bassist David Ellefson and his EMP Label Group will be resurrecting the Combat Records label in 2018. 2018 Grammy Awards - Best Metal Performance Nominations

Venom Inc. recently confirmed, that they will bring "Blood Stained Earth Tour" to the lands of Asia, Australia and New Zealand, where they will be touring for the first time. On November 24th, Bring Me The Horizon will release a compilation of the best tracks from their first five releases. The 15 songs on Bring Me The Horizon 2004-2013 span the British band's first nine years of existence.
