The Damned - New Album Coming, New Tour Dates

Punk pioneers The Damned will launch a full-scale North American tour next year in April 6th in Los Angeles, with dates running until May 21st. Prior to the trek, the quintet will begin sessions for a new album, their first since 2008's So, Who's Paranoid, this winter, and are planning a release date next year.

Obscure Sphinx - Drummer Leaves The Band

Deftones - European Tour Announced

Deftones are returning to Europe for a tour in support of their latest album, Gore, released in April this year. The trek is called Gore Tour 2017 and will happen in April/May next year. The group will play in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium, England and Scotland. Deftones had cancelled their previous European shows following the Paris terrorist attacks.

Sleep - Confirm Shows, To Re-Release The Clarity 12"

Southern Lord Recordings has recently announced the impending re-release of Sleep's "The Clarity". The special 12" contains the first new song from the band in nearly two decades. Initially released digitally as part of the Adult Swim Singles in 2014, "The Clarity" is the first new track the band released since their critically-adored Dopesmoker album. Afterward, the band issued a very limited run of the song on vinyl which was sold exclusively at their live shows and the band's online store. "The Clarity" will see a re-release in February 2017.

Atrophy - Working On New Music

American thrash smashers Atrophy just posted some important news. The band was formed back in 1986 under the Heresy name but in 1987 changed it to the current one. They broke up in 1991, but in 2015 came back from the dead and added two guitarists to the team, Casper Garret and Rich Olsen. Three original members, vocalist Brian Zimmerman, bassist James Gulotta and drummer Tim Kelly, are still part of the unit. Now, they are creating new music!
