Sumac - Recording New Album

It appears as if the guys in Sumac are keeping themselves busy by recording a follow-up to their debut The Deal. The album is being recorded at The Unknown studio in Anacortes, Washington, with audio engineering by Kurt Ballou of Converge fame. If you are not familiar with Sumac, you should know that the band consists of Aaron Turner (ex-Isis), Nick Yacyshyn (Baptists) and Brian Cook (Russian Circles). We can probably expect more information about the album in a not so distant future.

Cult Of Luna - Release New Split Teaser

Cult Of Luna have posted a teaser for their upcoming split EP entitled Råångest (which means "raw anxiety" in Swedish) with The Old Wind. You can watch it now here. The release will contain three songs, of which one will be Cult Of Luna's cover version of the Amebix classic "Last Will And Testament". Råångest shall be available to the masses in January 29th, 2016 via Pelagic Records.

Brainstorm - Debut Video For New Song

Melodic metal fans take notice because there is new Brainstorm music to discover. The power metallers recently announced that they are unleashing another new album next year called Scary Creatures. Today, there is a new video clip for the tune "The World To See", taken from the upcoming studio album (out January 15th in Europe, February 5th in North America on AFM Records). The band continues where they left off one and a half years ago with the previous release and also mix and mastering was once again handled by Achim Koehler.

Native Construct - Release First Ever Video

In Mourning - Join Agonia Records, In The Studio

In Mourning fans have waited a while to hear new updates regarding the new album the band has been working on. Today we finally have news about the next chapter of the band. Sweden's melodic death/progressive metal masters are currently in the studio working hard on the successor to their 2012 much-lauded offering, The Weight Of Oceans. After the release of that album, the band parted ways with founding drummer Christian Netzell in 2014 to later be joined by former Katatonia drummer Daniel Liljekvist.

Behemoth - Share Trailer For 'Live At The BBC' EP

Polish death metal blasphemers Behemoth have launched a preorder of a new vinyl/CD today. It is Live At The BBC, which contains four tracks, played live at The BBC/ Maida Vale Studios, recorded for The Radio 1 Rock Show with Daniel P. Carter, on the 8th of December 2014. Fear Factory - Involved In Bus Crash In Germany

Fear Factory had a rough night yesterday. The American industrialists are currently touring in Europe as part of their Demanufacture anniversary tour, performing the album in its entirety. However, their tour bus had an accident last night while they were leaving Aschaffenburg, Germany. The good news is that despite the damage, the band members and crew are all fine. Days before, Fear Factory played in Paris at La Trabendo as well.

Cult Of Luna - To Play 'Somewhere Along The Highway' At Roadburn 2016

Cult Of Luna will be celebrating 10 years of one of their crowning jewels, 2006's classic Somewhere Along The Highway. And they will do that by performing the entire record at Roadburn 2016 in The Netherlands. The band performed at both the 2008 and 2013 editions of Roadburn and are among the most requested bands. Cult Of Luna will be playing the album in full at the 013 venue on Thursday, April 14th, 2016.

Varg - Premiere Music Video

Varg are back with new material. They have released the EP Rotkäppchen this year and next year the main course, the album Das Ende Aller Lügen, will arrive in stores. Saturnus - Keyboardist Leaves The Band

In other line-up changes news, also Danish doomsters Saturnus have announced that keyboardist Mika Filborne left the band. While the band didn't go into much detail on the reasons for Mika Filborne's departure, they went on to say that it was a personal decision. According to the band, Mika has decided to leave the band immediately and they wish him all the best in the future. He had been in the band since 2013.
