Shape Of Despair - Sign To Season Of Mist, New Album In 2015

Today brings big news from Finnish funeral doomsters Shape Of Despair. They have announced via their Facebook page that they've signed with the label Season Of Mist and that a new album is on its way, tentatively slated for an early 2015 release. Ten years have passed since the last full length album from this group, Illusion's Play, has seen the light of day.

Moonspell - Share New Album Title

Slowly but surely, Moonspell reveal more about their new album. Currently in the recording process for the follow-up to Alpha Noir / Omega White, the Portuguese band reveals that the new opus will be called Extinct. The band promises to release a documentary about the making of the album and its concept. For now, you can take a look at some of the photos from the recording sessions. The record is set to be released on March 15th via Napalm Records.

Within Temptation - New DVD/Blu-Ray On The Way

Currently on tour in North America, Dutch symphonic band Within Temptation are releasing a new live DVD/Blu-ray/2CD. Let Us Burn - Elements & Hydra Live In Concert is set for release on November 14th and features two of Within Temptation's most talked about arena shows ever. The two dates are 2012's 15th birthday Elements concert and the final night of the Hydra European arena tour at Amsterdam's Heineken Music Hall in May 2014. These two performances showcase every nuance of their reputation plus stunning imagery and special FX, including giant fire-breathing dragons.

Gwydion - Going On Indefinite Hiatus

It's a sad day for Gwydion fans. The Portuguese folk metallers have decided to "take an indefinite leave of absence." Their last album Veteran, which was nominated for Best Folk / Pagan / Viking Metal Album on Metal Storm Awards 2013, could well be their swansong. The band started back in 1995 and released three albums in total. They could disband in the future but for now, it's just a break.
